1/4" paneling stacked up and Fiberglass resin coated. interesting ! I have some "swamp Oak " , skid wood i put thru the surface planer and ready to glue up . same idea but heavier wood

I just used lauan paneling. It's super light weight and sort of hollow sounding. It works though!

Now that swamp oak will come out nice because you can shape and sand it and it should look like a laminate pattern.

I have some walnut logs i can mill a perfect Quarter sawn plank as soon as they dry , two years old now so this summer ready to mill . Another hobby i have .
