So is a lot of things, i think even my NV500 is ( FY - FY )

With the current rat plague it is ironic that we people that can make a difference, are NOT allowed to join in.
I could easy shoot 3-4 rats a minute if there was enough of them, but i can only do that on private property, so no supplementing my meager pension doing that.

TV south made a series on pests, a guy there said he shot 3600 rats in one single farm,,,,, not in one night of course, but clearly some have a massive problem.

One place where Oneleaf dropped the ball is not having WiFi streaming.

I’ve used night vision and thermal for hunting purposes and streaming is the way to go for long session hunting.

It’s hard to scan using these scopes 4-6 hours at night…. but streaming you can sit back all night and move your gun around on a tripod and use your phone to view.

I really want the NV500 but can’t figure out how use it this way unless I buy an external monitor. And this new thermal scope looks killer for the price imo.

I have been wondering that too ( the missing wifi )
I think it might be a result of the SOC used, though it cant be a too shabby one when it can handle 4K / 120
I doubt it is a Novatek SOC that is very used in Dashcams, probably one of the Chinese ones

The HDMI out on the NV500 even in a stationary situation i think would be annoying to have a wire plugged in, not least as i feel HDMI cables are stiffer than the USB cable i have used for power CUZ otherwise i run out of it during rat sessions.

Streaming image to a phone, that most carry after all, that would be the easy / manageable route, even if this often introduce a little lag, then it is not like the old days in dashcams whee you would have 0.5 - 1 second lag on the wifi, today the lag is pretty minute.
