Oneleaf NV400LRF First Impressions With Videos

I have tested a lot of day and night scopes over the last few years and I try them out to see how they stack up against the others. Not everyone likes the tiny compact units becuase they are a little different from what a traditional scope is. The NV400 is a tube style scope that uses 30mm rings.

First impressions of the scope once it arrive was a pleasant one. Wheb you open the box it has everything you need to get you started. This includes an sd card, a charger, an IR light with an included battery, and a 18500 battery to power the scope. The bonus which I really give props to the company is the included extended battery cap to allow an 18650 battery.

The user interface is easy to operate very similar to the wraith scopes. You can change it to a FFP or SFP reticle in the menu. The LRF is simple to activate and the on board ballistics is a pro especially for us airgunners. This is a well thought out package and you can see that when opening the box. My favorite feature so far is the option to illuminate the buttons which is a great option for night use.

All my testing in this review is done on a tripod. The day images so far are impressive for the package and the night images do well. I would say the day images has the edge and with the max zoom of 52x it still had a usable image with good clarity at my 100y testing.

It is chunky but some don't mind that as it can help with a balance point or help weigh down a build if wanted. The total weight is with the the rings, the extended battery cover with 18650, IR light battery and mount.

As you can see in the pictures there is an included sunshade that is needed for day use other wise you get a washed out image. You can flip the lens cover without taking the shade off for use at night.

There are multiple reticle options as well as color options. Below are the options you can choose. The default is red so that is how I showed them. You will have the option of white, red, green, blue, black

All in all I would say this is a great package for someone looking for a tube style scope. They have a 2x scope that will offer a better FOV as the 4x can be a little tight for up close pesting. I will try and get some more videos of range use but the video below showcases what it has done so far with the the animals available in the backyard.

having never seen a night vision scope before, what is the separate smaller piece in the last picture?? I assume the larger one was the scope and illuminator..
also I didn't notice any cross hairs, so do they turn on and off separately?
how much are they and where do you get the scope?
oh just wanted to say great picture and video..I love the red foxes.. we have one that comes here too..I was surprised to see him climbing over the 6' tall no climb fence gate.. and I had thought they were like a little dog but apparently they can use their hands and feet differently because he went right up one side of the gate and down the other side, sort of like a squirrel..
I'll see if I can find a picture of him on the gate.

If you are talking about the item that is next to the oneleaf on the table that is my arken zulus which is so far the beat bang for the buck BUT not everyone likes that style of scope so I wanted to put this review out there. As for where to purchase you can get it on Amazon search oneleaf nv400 and it will have the option for the added lrf which is a great bonus at around $710. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out I would be happy to point you in the right direction.

just wondering, you didn't mention about the cross hairs..on the video I thought the picture was pretty good, but I didn't see any cross hairs so I was wondering if they turn off and on? either way it took a pretty good video..

Apologies I forgot to answer that. The reticle is there it's just small the video makes or look smaller than it is but it was there if you look for it. You cam change the reticle shape and color to your liking I will try and update the post with the reticle options.

Man Brawler you have an target rich environment!

What record speeds does it have? Anything fast enough to have a decent slo-mo, i.e. 120 fps or better? Does it offer any image stabilization? Those were some great videos. I have the PARD D35, very similar, but the image quality of the NV400 seems much better.
No image stabilization that I know of. Recording speed options are
-4K 30fps
-4K 60fps
-4K 120fps
-2K 30fps
-FHD 30fps
All options in the menu

The 4K at 120fps is what I was looking for, thank you! The PARD D35 only records at a max of 60fps, which is really too slow for smooth slo-mo.
The ds35 does have some advantages though with the lighter weight and the nice long eye relief. The new pard nightstalker maybe worth a look but I haven't seen one yet. They have that and the upgraded 008 that is supposed to be coming. Not saying it's crazy good but on my channel check out the stuff I did with the sniper xr that was with my zulus and just my phone slo-mo

The NV400 is on sale on the Oneleaf site for Father's Day! $424.15 without the Ranger Finder, $559.30. That's for either the 4-52X or the 2-26X models.

Do you have a link to your channel? I do slo-mo with the footage I get off my ATN 4K that's recorded at 120fps. Does the Oneleaf record at 120fps in NV mode also? The ATN only records in 30fps in NV mode. I think the PARD will record in 60fps in NV mode.
