Only 3 weeks,hooked

Wife put up a bird feeder October 28, the squirrels were swarming it. Told her I was going to Deter them a little. Had to do some quick shopping on line and saw that Tractor Supply had a Umerex pellet gun in the closest store. They actually had several models, one being a gas cartridge nitrogen maybe. Researched a bit and glad I went with the underlever Synergis 22.

Got to say I was impressed. I haven’t shot an air gun in 55 years and that was a Crossman 760. Came with a cheap scope but it was functional.
I can’t really shoot outside but it’s all woods behind the house. So that evening online I was to read about air guns. The big thing was a pcp gun.
The downside was the filling. I ended up buying a Reximex RPA and a cheap hand pump . I swear I bruised a couple ribs pumping that little cylinder. Ok got one of them $200 compressors on Amazon.

Might as well get a rifle now…

There right about the rabbit hole being the size of the Chunnel. I have lost track of the PCPs I own and buy springers regularly. Only own one electric compressor and two hand pumps though. I think the PCPs stand at seven, pistol AND rifles. Maybe there are some I forgot and then there are the CO²s and pneumatics. The Sheridan's and such. Be Well Brothers, from deep inside my rabbit hole, ( there is an echo down here! ) Bandito.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I just ordered my first pcp rifle.
Daystate Huntsman Revere 25.
Now what scope for the most part a 40 foot basement to 25 yard backyard gun?
Mike
You couldn't have made a better choice. The Daystate is an heirloom rifle IMO. For a scope, the Athlon Heras is a great product, head and shoulders over the cheap stuff out there. Great optics and it's parallax adjustment goes down to 10 yards which you need for what you are doing. I, personally, prefer the SFP. The Arken LH is a great deal, but it's an FFP scope and focuses down to 13 yards despite the published specs. If that will work for you, Arken scopes are phenominal and they have some great Black Friday deals. The LH 4 4-16 for $233 is as good as any $5-600 scope IMO.

Rifle may be a touch overkill, but get a good pellet trap and enjoy it. 4-16x50mm Hawke Sidewinder is a proven reliable option.
