UP the budget a little and buy the Coltri mch-6,,, you will cry a little at firstBest compresser to fill a bottle and do a lot of shooting that is under 2k
Even if you do not already have a shop compressor dead reliable for under $2,000 look at a booster. Not wicked fast but certainly will scba bottle.

I have been using the original altros for about 7 years now w/no issue. $675 US. Scroll down for videos:Please excuse my ignorance I am new to the sport what is a booster
My Alkin W31 would beg to differ.None of the compressors much under $5k were ever designed to fill tanks. If you’re going to use them to do that don’t expect them to do that for long without frequent maintenance and rebuilds.
Heres a Mod i made for the CS-2. Works great. I fill 98 cu ft bottles all the time. Takes a Minute, but totally doable Takes 15 to 20 cycles to bring a 98cuft bottle from 3000psi to 4500 psi.The GX Compressors have a pretty good track record. The CS1, CS2 or CS3 will fill your guns easily. Filling tanks is another story. A YH will fill tanks, but they are loud and requires a bucket of water for cooling.
The CS4 is more expensive, but will fill tanks and guns up to 5800 psi, if you ever decide to get an airgun that needs a fill over 4500 psi. It also has a 5 hour run cycle when filling tanks.
Here's a link to the GX Compressors that are currently on sale. There is also a 10% off discount code:

Why would you make such an incorrect statement?None of the compressors much under $5k were ever designed to fill tanks. If you’re going to use them to do that don’t expect them to do that for long without frequent maintenance and rebuilds.
Maintenance for the CS-2 Is not that complicated. If you wann use it beyond rated capacities... DO THE RESEARCH. It is possible, just takes time.None of the compressors much under $5k were ever designed to fill tanks. If you’re going to use them to do that don’t expect them to do that for long without frequent maintenance and rebuilds.
And my experience was just the opposite. They treated me great. I had a gauge damaged in transit and the wrong pressure release valve, and they took care of me by sending replacement parts ASAP.DO NOT buy a compressor from Nuvair. I had a horrible customer service issue with them that spanned for over two months.
+1 buying a coltri! With extra breathing filters and enough oil to fill it for “the rest of my life”, (a gallon I think) and shipping it was $3000 to my door from Ca to WV. Definitely worth the extra 1k!UP the budget a little and buy the Coltri mch-6,,, you will cry a little at first
BUT you will do the happy dance for a long time afterward,,,,
I wish I had done this at the start instead of wasting money on China branded products
