Opinions wanted - best .22 underlever for general use

I have always assumed that the Diana 460 would be the standout underlever in .22 caliber. Not for competition, but for most everything else. Including some bragging rights off the bench.

But now I'm wondering about the TX. And a friend has an outrageously accurate .22 HW97k.....

So, since forums need threads, and I'd like everyone's insight, I'm posting to ask about it.

I have owned several of each. My vote is for the HW97K - no contest and for several reasons.

Wow! Didn't expect such a strong showing considering the three I mentioned.

Would anyone say that the 460 has an edge in the woods? They are lighter than the others, and not hold sensitive. Well, I'm told - my 460 is still "in the shop"...

For in the woods I would want something smaller and lighter than all 3 of those options personally. Given the choices though it would definitely me a 97K with a PG4 and Vac Seal

The Weihrauchs or TX will be a notch up in build quality from the Diana.

If I was going for a hunting gun from Diana it would be a 48. They are tunable to about any reasonable power level you'd want and they are very easy to put a sling on. I also think they balance better.

For woods walking, the 97K is HEAVY. Just something to consider.

If you can find it used I would add the Walther LGU to your list. Was available in wood or synthetic.

Or the Diana 430 for lightweight woods walker.
