Optic Choice - Athlon Heras vs. Argos SFP ???

I normally Hate to see posts such as this one, but curious to see what other folks think  . My usage will be bench rest shooting out to 100 yards.
Right now I have a Element Helix 6-24-50 SFP, which I very much like except I've heard the glass could be better. Love the APR-1C MRAD reticle.

One of my biggest issues is the 20-30 vision in my shooting eye which seems to get tired after 1 hour.

- Athlon Optics Argos BTR GEN2 10-40x56 Riflescope - BLR SFP IR MOA, Black

VS.

- Athlon optics 4-20x50 Heras spr

Lastly, my indoor range is only 13 yards, so likely the Argos will only be used at the range:cautious:.

I bought the Heras 2-12 A couple of months ago, I put it on a taipan veteran compact, I love it! really clear glass,
I do not use it for target shooting, it’s used for pest control. I typically shoot between 20 and 70 yards. So I don’t need the 20x. My only gripe is that it’s about 24 ounces, I wish Athlon could slim down their scopes a little bit. Something around 17 or 18 ounces would be ideal for a lightweight pesting air rifle

I wish they would also. I love the helos 2-12x42 but for like an ounce more I got the 4-20x50 which had a better reticle for longer range shots. They get it sub 20oz would be awesome for smaller guns.

Sounds like a sweet pesting setup! I'm looking out for a Taipan compact in .22. My only real grip with the Heras 2-12 is it doesn't have illumination. If it had that I would buy it yesterday.

Sounds like you might dig the Helios instead, illuminated, yes. But FFP. Utah Airguns are blowing out their remaining inventory of older Vet models, fyi.

Yeah jps2486,
Skating the line between shooting MOA at 100 yards on a Modest budget. My theory ... is there are many things affecting accuracy besides the scope. The Sightron would certainly remove the scope as a "weak link" in my pursuit, however is that fix worth $1.3K?

I feel reading the wind, pellet/slug selection, barrel harmonics play a larger role .... The scope would definitely help my poor eyes.

Then again, I already have $6K+ invested in my 3 RAW's
