Optics , Bad binoculars, BUSHNELL buyer beware

so got a gift card went to academy bought me anew pair of binoculars, i do not keep boxes, anyway something wrong with the sighting only one eye at at time or its blurred , So i call academy and was told to take it up with Bushnell since i did not have the box it came in and Bushnell is 100% on warranty, So get the paper work send them in, Get them back with a note saying impact damage and void warranty, Brand new binoculars no marks or nothing just perfect,,,So i call Bushnell and was told He can not warranty them as there was damage to the inside of them but he would give me a discount on another pair, So i suck it up and folk over a couple hundred dollars for the discounted pair,,, As I hang up the phone I think DAM, what if UPS or Fed EX drops them or roughs them up and they are broke when I open the box,,,,,, Dam I can hear BUSHNELL now saying sorry there is impact damage and no warranty but we will discount you another pair,,,, dam dam, crap crap.....................

Hindsight I should have just sucked it up and said I am not buying your products anymore................................

Have you even tried to adjust focus-turn-spin the blurry side diopter? (eyepiece)

Sure as hell you got the other defective pair of binoculars back!!!

May or may not have tiny screws holding the rotating eyepiece since I have NO IDEA what model you got or even what it looks like

Remove that blurry side eyecup and manually press squeeze hard crank that diopter to make it same clarity as the other side while looking with both eyes then you might want to put a piece of wire insulator rubber band or 2 or large O-Rings to keep it functional.

Anything can be fixed if you know how things work.

Do you know how to adjust the diopter,if not that may be your problem

Everyone knows THIS! That's why it screws in and out independently for each eye. Like focusing your scope eyepiece to see the reticle clearly. Those people at Bushnell Warranty denial dept said it was due to impact damage. They obviously musta checked the eyepiece adjustments eh?

I was the guy who insisted that Mike dunk his leaky CF SCBA tank into the bathtub and it was leaking through the carbon fibre weave in several areas while the tank was still within its15 year life span and current hydro after using 2 different valves.

We even chatted over the phone just recently so it's all good. Just a funning a little on him (Mike).

Athlon replaced my Midas binos with a new pair,,, the focus knob came loose, and were quick about it, and the replacement was the new version

Bushnell's reply😡 about internal damage without exterior damage, is them saying, they is selling junk and their word is worthless. This will cost them. They need to re-evaluate this employee.

My father taught me that: If a man will lie to you, he will steal from you

Hello --

I sent my Elite 10x50s in about 7-8 yrs ago to replace the strap stud hole. Got em back in a month I think, all good, warranted repair. Now broke on the other strap stud hole and loathe to send in cause no longer are these made. Don't want another pair 10x42s if they replace from Elite line.
