N/A Over size pellet suggestions

The fattest pellet I know of is 5.55 Dia. H&N. My HW's like them and have fairly large bores.

I've never heard of a 5.6 diameter pellet. Maybe you meant 5.56-5.57?

There may be a 5.56 out there somewhere. I've never seen a larger .22 pellet than 5.55.
Yes, I did mean 5.56. Thank you for pointing that out. On my HW50 the pellets aren't falling through but they just seem a little loose.

So the 5.5 AEA have 5.7mm skirts?
Correct.

On most traditional diabolo pellets, the skirt is significantly larger in diameter than the head. Theoretically, the head just rides the lands of the rifling, to keep the pellet from tipping in the bore, while the rifling grooves cut into the skirt to seal the airflow and spin the pellet.

RWS's traditional designs have the biggest skirts I know of among current brands. Give the Hobby, Superdome, or Super H-Point a try In your .22 Weihrauch.

5.6mm pellets DO exist! Modern ".22" airgun bores are a metric 5.5mm, but if ya do the math 22/100 inch is actually 5.6mm. The "No. 2 bore" of classic British airguns is this size, and UK pellets from those days are dimensioned accordingly. I hoard the excellent vintage "blue tin" Eley Wasps for my Webley Mk 3...!

The HW bores are definitely a little bigger. And different brands and weights certainly seat differently. Especially the skirts.

I'm thinking the skirt fit is more about consistent velocity. And the head fit more about accuracy. From my limited observation pellets that engrave equally on the head and skirt are the most accurate. The ones loose in the skirt are faster and the ones loose at the head less accurate.
