Oversized scope turrets and perelax wheel.

I've never used these but I have see them on alot of rigs. Could you explain their form and function?

Well for me it allows me to have space on the turret to write my yards on and stack the yardage on top of each other. Also because it is larger it allows to be more precise quickly, and it looks cool.

I have seen shooters use these in the past. Turret caps should be ok but there is a lot of leverage on a side wheel and it could easily snap if your gun just tips over. I would recommend getting a metal based caps and wheel for rigidity and peace of mind when shooting that it's probably not going to break.

I'm a fan of the two-piece turrets. The style that I make has 100 teeth on the base that match with teeth on the outer part. This allows you to easily re-zero your scope by pulling the top off of the base and moving it to where it needs to go. There's a magnet in the top that clicks onto the screw that holds the base.
So in the picture, the left is a top with range markings. The middle is a base with a hole for the screw into the turret. The right is a top that's upside down to show the magnet.


I really like the turret pointer on your scope, that's a great design.

Great design. The pointer is helpful for when you get into turn #2 it can point right the mark for your yardage.
