So I've recently confirmed that small game hunting with airguns is legal in Pennsylvania, yes i know they passed that back in 2017-18 but i had been a bit confused at the time. Still am on something and that's why I've come to ask this, I've noticed that some of the wording seems to imply that airgun hunting for small game is legal except in specifically designated areas. Other parts it seems to state that it is legal except for certain designated areas.
So which is it, is it legal state wide with areas where it is prohibited or is it legal only in specifically designated areas of PA?
I have the adequate equipment, Ruger Impact .22, for small game hunting but i can't seem to find anything that says where it is acceptable to hunt small game with an air rifle. Can anyone give me a clear answer or possibly a link to where i can figure this out? I'd really like to get out for some squirrel and groundhogs, it's been quite some time since i last had wild game and I'd like to get into taking small game with my air rifle.
Also, I've been out of the airgun loop for little bit so i may have missed a post pertaining to this already. Thanks in advance.
