I'm looking to add an on/off valve to my QB 79. I'm using air and not CO2. The valve will go between the regulator and the rifle. Any safety concerns I should consider? I see a GOG paintball on/off that looks reasonable.

I had the same idea but for my Avenger (see thread) and I emailed GOG a long time ago but never heard back about the PSI rating. CO2 is like 900 psi but HPA is much higher. I'd see if you can find a phone number or talk to the member here in that thread who got a high psi rated ASA.

As long as you reg is set to paintball pressures -say 1,100 Max- And it never fails so as to allow full pressure through should work.

If the valve is exposed to the full bottle pressure of 3000+ psi, then I would want confirmation from the manufacturer that it was designed for that. If the valve is exposed to regulated pressure of 1500 psi or less, then I'm certain that it would be ok since it was designed for paintball use and there are safety margins built into the valve. I think, that realistically, there is low risk of the valve bursting at 4500 psi but that the internal valve seat may develop leaks if it is over pressurized. But again, we need to know the manufacturers design pressure to know if we are over pressurizing it or not...

I want to have two on/off inline from the,compressor one on either side of the air drier filter so i can leave the filter @ pressure and change guns to fill

I've used those when I was bulk filling 88 gm co2 bottles I refill then switch to HPA then I found this twist on/off asa. I prefer the twist on for it disengages the pin from the bottle so no pressure in between not like the other one. My output is set to 1100 psi.

I believe the valve portion was designed specifically for the Epoch. Although it does use the same housing, it is NOT a paintball transplant.

The GOG on/off valve that the OP is wanting to use is found all over paintball websites. A quick google search will show those results and not any for an Epoch....

The valve would see no more than 1500 psi. I'd like to be able to use the same bottle for multiple guns. It'd be easy to unscrew and attach to different guns with this valve. It'd suck to have to de gas. This will save my threads as well
