Paintball regulator

Most paintball regs have a 1.8k burst disk on the output side to guard against dumping full tank pressure into a paintball marker and making it a bomb. In that case, the maximum practical limit is around 1400-1500psi. Any higher and a little creep or temperature rise will blow it.

Some will have a 3k though, which implies the bonnet is capable of handling that much. “Implies” is a treacherous word however and given the proliferation of cheap overseas regs on the market, please be careful.

In your case you would need a 5k burst disk and that will be an even smaller subset of available options

Lastly, depending on what the factory setpoint is, you may need to step up the thickness of the Belleville washers to get to 3200psi.

W4c,

I have a 90cc pony tank for keeping in my shooting gear for additional air I might need for a Field Target match. It has a Ninja regulator that puts the 4500 lb. pressure down to 3000 psi. I just hook it up to whatever gun, and let it flow. It has a 3400 psi burst disk on the output (3000) side, so if the regulator fails, no damage is done to the gun.

4wc,

I got mine from a paintball/dive shop (there's a perfect combo right there), and they set me up with a 90cc tank, 4500-3000 regulator with burst disks, and foster fill valve, for around $300. And that's in NYC, where everything is more expensive. If several were ordered in the same configuration as mine, the price would be less. I'll try to give you guys a picture later when I get home.

"The reason I'm asking is because I dont get the price bump."

I think the price bump is for two reasons. 1. we are a small market so the production runs are smaller. 2, and the bigger reason, we are willing to pay the $$ to get the Ninja with the 3000 PSI output. It doesn't cost any more to make, but with a smaller market with more $$ to spend, you can jack up the price. There really aren't any competitors in the market, so that's the price.
