Altaros Panthera settings for Altaros slugs

Got my Fx Panthera 700 in .22 shooting 34gr javelins at 1000 fps, I was looking to shoot slugs with even higher bc for long range and good penetration and found out Ataros slugs to be the best option !! The thing is I see people shooting them at low speed but I like to shoot slugs at high speed ! There no way I can shoot them over 950 fps with good accuracy ? If not do you think atp slugs would beat javelins even when shooting them at 900 vs javelins at 1000 fps ?

They seem to favor lower speed (885-900). I’m not sure what you mean by one “beating” the other, but the Altaros will only lose out in terms of fpe at the muzzle. If you need to get the same fpe as the 34grain at 1000fps, then shoot the Altaros 40 grain at 900fps.

900fps average over 35 shots.

It’s really stacking them there. I tried up to 950 and down to 850. 900 is THE speed for them from my setup.
The nice thing about this tune is I can drop the macro a few clicks and run "redesigns" for training or close up peering. Rifle feels like it’s at idle.

Pls by .. "and run "redesigns" for training or close up peering." are you referring to the .22 JSBs Exact Jumbo Monsters 25.39 Gr . Redesigned?

Are you shooting the JSBs Exact Jumbo Monsters 25.39 Gr .in a Panthera with the slug liner? I have a ton of those left after I traded my impact for a Panthera .22... I would love to shoot these to practice in between matches as they are so much cheaper than the Altaros 40 Grains .. . I thought the pellets were not accurate in the panthera ... just got this gun a few weeks ago and just learning it
