Brocock/BRK Path to perfection

So I’ve been spending a bit more time with my sub 12 BRK Pathfinder .177, this little backpack beast is really growing on me and fast becoming my go to rifle. For a short barrelled rifle it’s certainly holding up well on the longer shots ! Light, well balanced and compact it’s perfect for wandering round my permissions and doing some pest control.
I treated it to a new Form laminate pistol grip last week which is in a very nice ebony design.
Since I’d been playing around with it I thought I’d make sure the Mtc swat prismatic had held the zero and do a bit of a power check. All zero’d at 40 yards with .177 Daystate sovereign heavy which runs at average of 11.5 ft/lb in my pathfinder on high power setting.
So now it’s all zeroed i shot a few magazines on the metal knockdowns dotted around the range, I decided to put out a paper target at 50 yard marker. Very happy with the results ( bit windy but the range is well sheltered which was lucky )
I’m going to have a try with a few other pellet brands when I next there, but so far it seems to like most pellets I’ve tried. Bonus ! Maybe next time I could even try a bit further out and see where that gets me.

Thanks for reading

nice review, the form grips look different. what case are you using for the pathfinder?
Thanks, I have a hard case for it when in transit but if walking the permission I have a old 30l rucksack which it fits into perfectly once folded, I’m certain BRK Brocock do a backpack style soft case for it on their web shop, it looks decent quality to I’m looking at getting one of those in the future

Thanks Matt,

I am very curious about the true shotcount of your airgun.

In my country we go way above sub12 and our shotcounts go way down.

For pestcontrol I think sub12 is just perfect. More than enough power and a stressless shotcount.

When I first saw the Pathfinder I thought I want that in sub12 for ratting. Not sure if it will be better then my current setup but the shotcount will makes it worth it.

I need to bring my scuba tank each time which is a kind of game changer in freedom. Not that I need it every time. But the thoughts of having a good night out to end because an empty aircylinder gives stress.

I really dig the Sahara xR too just for its looks and bottle 😍.

Thanks for feeding my airgun greed 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍

That’s actually one thing I’ve never counted….. good excuse to do some shooting and find out. Official specs put sub 12 at 310 (.22), 285 (.177) which are usually about right, so I’m happy with that it’s more than enough for a decent day or night out without needing a refill 👍🏼

Bring a tin and let us know. 285 to 300 are abstract numbers for FAC shooters.

One day I may.

Is it 0 eye relief prismatic scope? Is it comfortable on the folding stock patfinder? I am thinking about it but i don't want my scope to protrude the back of the gun when the stock is folded and at the same time want it to be comfortable when looking through it with stock open and not extended.
Yes it’s zero eye relief, very similar to the viper connect. At first it can take some getting used to and feels a bit weird, but not in anyway uncomfortable. This will sit over the back when folded
