interesting tripod set-up
Nice groups...you are really zipping them in there!
How's the "bark" with the FX with just a brake on the front? or did you do that to sound like everyone else there 😜 Kidding
Mike

When i take my USFT to 50 yard BR shooting 8.64 .177 they put me in the custom BR gun class which is the harder (smaller bull target .)
They shoot the standard Target and standard Velocity .22 PB. most are shooting the 10/22 with a lijia (sp?) barrels . I have stopped shooting the Competition's but sometimes i use the range

In Canada suppressors/moderators/silencers are prohibited toys.
And I am shooting in my gun club only (15 minutes from my door).
And most of the times all big calibre PB guns around me with breaks. Getting critical when the next guy's gun blows you down from the bench :ROFLMAO:
Dual layer ear muffs mostly....
You get used to it, and making a lot of noise feels good to :p

I take my mod off at the range , just to avoid the conversation / confrontation . club members = 6 leo's /2 fed / 2 judges .

This my club is fairly large about 650 families, members only owned club, membership based on shares.
I am leasing a share cannot afford a $20K share piece price.
Toronto LEO's renting couple days a week for their training.

This an old layout, last year the club bought also the next farmland (to the right) so expecting some new developments coming up soon.

Just ask them to compare cost per shot...
we lose every time! I guess depending on gun that day but $1,600 gun, plus $1,800 scope, $400 bipod, plus whatever accessories = $4,000 plus just to fire one of those $0.16 pellets. Its going to take a ton of pellets or slugs to make up the money invested into the gun. Now like everything else this can be scaled way back but so can PB.
I like to think of it that it allows people like myself a way to come home and unwind and shoot in our back yards in suburban neighborhoods. Not all of us are lucky enough to live in the country and have space where sound isn't an issue. Ive been looking at moving but an hour drive from work vs 15min x2 each day = less time at home and less family and shooting time. Gotta weigh options. Ill keep my airguns at any cost to be able to shoot anytime any place. Cost isn't a comparative factor. Time is more valuable in my opinion.

When I told the guy that for a cost of 100 Win 308 I can have about 2000 shots with .22 MRD's or 1800 shots of .25 MK1's, they stop teasing me :)
OK, these are $CAD prices, not sure what is a $USD situation with you guys down @ South.
I think my daughter said that it was around $4-5 per cartridge in MN for her 300 win mag.. I hate being in the same area as it when she shoots it.. what a cannon.. horrible concussion.. and I stayed behind her and off to the side by at least 15 ft each way..
and I'm hard of hearing, so I had my hearing aids out and good shooting muffs on my ears..

I'm in a similar situation but not really, I can shoot anything right off the deck.. actually that's where I usually shoot from.. close to home 🤣🤣 but I have chronic migraines and even when I don't have one, I still enjoy the quiet of air guns..
I also love to shoot cowboy guns,I haven't been able to figure out how to get the mustang lobo imported, and I don't have anything even in mind for a single six.. so I normally shoot 22 short CB ammo or aguila colibri ammo in my Bearcat or Wrangler and quiet ammo in my golden boy..
I only have one PCP pistol, hatsan velox, maybe someday I'll be able to get a Huben GK1, maybe a shorty, I prefer pistols under 12" overall and the velocity just makes it..
if anyone sees any cowboy guns.. please let me know..
if anyone figures out a way to get the mustang lobo,or possibly the Gamo prototype that looks like the lobo.. please let me know..
I've even been tempted to get the Colt SAA and the legends lever action from umarex but I just am not sure I want CO2..

so my current favorite PCP if turned up will shoot even jsb 25 grain pellets super sonic.. so I guess if you wanted to compete sound wise with powder guns you would at least be like a 22lr.. maybe a bit more..
I prefer to shoot subsonic..it will really sling the h&n or Zan 40 grain slugs almost supersonic..
I like it with the Donny FL shogun moderator and keep it under supersonic..
