PBA pellets

just got a pkg. of Gamo PBA 5.1 gr Green pellets . Which states on the package 25% more punch .
So to me that means the pellet has to be traveling a lot faster to retain 25% more FPE at the target ? Would love to see the testing and how they arrived at that fact .
AND what are they comparing this pellet to , to be claiming 25% more ?
( bet it is 25% more than dry firing )

It's Gamo. They know their typical client base doesn't know what they're looking at and only looks for bigger numbers so they just slap whatever meaningless nonsense they can on the package to get sales.

That being said, those PBAs are typically MUCH faster than lead pellets and velocity has a bigger impact on energy than projectile weight does. In a break barrel this will usually give you quite a bit more muzzle energy, even if it sheds it almost immediately.

Well you figure your guns fps then there light weight there going to fly . ( i should say fliers??).

Maybe a guy can get good results from a less then 600fps gun or pistol. Just seems anything " green" just adds a hardship on the public 😉.

Just for me any time i go under 7.9 (.177). I get a lot of wild crazy shots.

Anyway will wait on your test review to see what you get from them .

Well my thing with most gamo pellets is count for pricing. Lol

Like they feel 125 tin of there pellets are worth far more the the next guys 500 tin .. then there " normal" count tins (500/250) pellets just serm to shoot bad for me . Like the domed gamo hunter ones for example. I suffered through 5 tins of them from a order to make free shipping.. ( should of just paid the shipping)

I bought these because they were Green and mostly 5.1 GR. Gamo really had nothing to do with the purchase . AMAZON and free shipping was all .
Then when i got them it became a big joke with the statements on the package . and the count is only 100 pellets for $ plus tax = $10.27
will post test results next week
