My wife and I have been target shooters for over 30 years - used to drive over 60 miles to an outdoor range...then we discovered PCP and we can shoot in our one acre back yard and we do it daily

pcp's open up so many more shooting opportunities.
ive had a thousand+ acre dairy farm permission for pesting for the last 5 years,
he wouldnt let people use real guns for pigeons,starlings,etc...
but when i said i use all "airguns" he gave me the green light,
i loved the look on his face the first time he watched me knock a pigeon off one of his silos at 100+ yards
he said "i had no idea a bb gun could do that"
hahahahahahahahaaaaaaa
now we are friends,
and he always tells me where hes been seeing the big bucks at lol
got over 600 pigeons there last year.
sorry for the 17,000 page book,

I shoot in my 1/2 acre suburban backyard almost daily. Shooting my .177 RTI Prophet tuned to low power, it is all but undetectable. My wife absolutely loves that my hobby is done in the backyard, not 1-2 hours away. Happy shooting!

There is a Danish female 10 M shooter, she practice / shoot in a hallway in her house.
I assume as actual facilities are scarce here in gun scared Denmark, and also if you want to be on the highest level, shooting 2 times a week are not enough, and there are no club / range here that is open every day of the week ( work days )
I assume she lock her husband and kids in their rooms when she live fire practice in the hallway.

I also really enjoy back yard shooting. Where I live it is totally legal in my less than half acre back yard. I can only go to 33 yards but that is enough to have plenty of fun.

That's awesome that you both share this hobby so passionately together for so long...win win! My wife doesn't shoot but we do golf together so I know how special it is to share hobbies with spouses!

I read about guy that sits in his kitchen and shoots out the door/ across the yard /in through the garage window/ across the garage in into the target . Lives in #(*&#@%+% IL . (Gestapo land for sure )

I sure wish a whole lot more people would try some backyard plinking. Where it’s legal of course. If more people did I feel like the shooting sport as a whole would be on a lot more solid ground than what it is now.

I’ve never asked if it’s legal and no one would answer the question anyway but I shoot in my suburban back yard regularly and safely. I’ll keep at it until law enforcement tells me I’m breaking the law.

As long as you have some sort of backstop. The local ordinances from where I live require that I have at least 1 acre of land and that nothing important stands right behind my target (like my neighbor or his pet).
