Well for a thousand dollars you certainly get a very nice pcp.I think first thing you need to consider is what style of rifle are you looking for,,,traditional longer rifle or a bullpup or semi bullpup design.Then i would consider which caliber,,,177 of course is going to be the cheapest to shoot with a huge pellet selection.As you go up in caliber .22,,,.25,,,.30 your pellet selection decreases and the cost goes up.For backyard shooting I'm fine with shooting .177 but the wind definitely effects these lighter pellets the most.
