Well amazon is a place to sell and they prob buy from the place i use because they are a manufacturer that sells to everyone else custom patern cost me like 20 bucks

I wouldn't trust carbon fiber threads for a shroud unless you're not threading them and running em differently than stock does...

I however thread into mine on both ends and prefer aluminum tubing for a shroud.

Most professionally engineered solutions use some sort of metal insert (often aluminum) which is bolted or riveted to the CF tube to provide threads. I concur that threading the CF directly is probably not a good idea.

You just have to make aluminum inserts with threads not to bad or you can buy them
