Tuning Peek Insert for hammer face

Pending the hammers HARDNESS ?

Many are VERY hard and require carbide drill or end mill to spot face a cavity. generally only need @ 1/8" depth. Size the peek a tad larger for a interference fit and FIRMLY press in then trim it flush. Diameter generally 3/16 to 1/4" * Only need it a tad larger than poppet stem diameter.

* If drilling ANGLE the peek stub to match drill point angle before pressing in.

Yep press fit works great too! Only reason I threaded mine was testing different stroke lengths and was quicker. Its certainly overkill.
