Peep Sight on a Marauder

Yeah, I wish I had jumped on them when you could get them. They're rare as hen's teeth and twice as expensive... Used!
Edited to add: They're in stock?! I might give them a call.
Another edit: Those are Gen 2 tubes, I have a Gen 1
Sorry about that - I did not realize yours was Gen 1 . . . I should have figured it out from the pictures. Mine are as well, and I do love the new tubes. Back when they first offered them, they even gave the option for custom length so I got one an extra three inches in length to recover "lost" volume from regulating the gun . . .

I'm feeling pretty good about this arrangement. The gun, while heavy, handles really well. I'll revisit the stock over the winter, when I'm shooting rifles less and can take it out of service for a week or two. Had a moment between rain showers today and hopped out for a few shots. 20 yards (zeroed at 25), standing offhand with JSB Monsters right at 900 fps or so. First shot was low, so I brought the front sight a tad higher and nailed the bottle cap. I managed to land two more on target and a couple of misses. This is better than I can do at 20 yards, standing offhand with a scope, using this gun and I've onlt just started to get serious about it. Should be a good close range squirrel stomper with some practice. Good fun!

Thanks. I never used a scope, in all my years of shooting, until I got my first PCP rifle. I have a bit of a passion for iron sights myself and I am most comfortable with them.
I'll have to get cracking on the set screw solution when I have a moment. I'll probably lose the filet on the bottom to provide extra opposing force when tightening (so it doesn't tip the unit forward).
I've also found that the front sight takes black spray paint really well and perfectly matches the finish of the rest of the gun after a few very light coats. I've been resisting the temptation to buy more PLA. I'm out of black, but I have more of the other colors than I can use before it goes bad.
