Pellet and Shot Cycle

I know some barrels prefer certain pellets, but can the shot cycle also determine what pellet your gun likes. As an example, my hw95 loved 7.9 cpl's, then I put a vortex kit in it and cpl's do not shoot well out of my hw95 anymore. My RWS 38 also changed what pellet it liked after I tuned it. It went from really liking RWS super domes to not caring for them at all.

I am not sure of the technical reasons, but yes, changes can occur in the pellet preference. Probably not a brand thing, but more likely a weight and/or size issue.

Did you happen to chrony it before and after?

If your tune kit changes the velocity than that can have an effect. Some pellets like different velocities.
