Pellet Thoughts

Well,I Finally got my Xisico .22 underlever from Flying Dragon. I could use some initial guidance on pellets. Mike informed me that the gun likes 5.52, and between 14 and 16 grains. My purpose is hunting/pesting. Your advice is deeply appreciated as I am just starting out, ESPECIALLY if you also own this model of airgun. Thanks in advance, and God bless.

Well first, welcome. And second, what're you pesting/hunting, what distances are you going to be mainly shooting at?

I always start with JSBs. For general purpose shooting/pesting, the midweight and slightly heavy pellets (15.89gn and 18.13gn) will be everything you need and will likely give the best performance. Also, the Hades as previously mentioned or the FX Atomics which are just rebranded Hades for cheaper, and are what I currently shoot.

I was trying out some cheap ammo to see if my airgun likes any of it. Nothing serious but some are definitely more accurate than others.

Ten shots around 30 yards.

Them parahnas .177 run pretty tight in my stuff and kinda throws them off for me.. my r9 just too tight in the leade. Of your gun was a little loose in the leade maybe ?

Thanks so much everyone! The wife needed a Wally World trip in the vast metropolis of Bangor today, and I did indeed score three tins of Crosman HPs for minor folding money. Now I still have some serious tuck money left over so I will look at a few tins of the H&N pictured above. I am also in the process of getting a pellet sizer to ensure uniformity. You guys are excellent resource people!

"minor folding money. ".

Must not live around here🙄..lol

Actually, the expression always was "folding green." I was making the point I got those HP Crosmans pretty reasonably. If my pellet sizer works as I hope it will, I can stock up on cheaper pellets and transmogrify them(thanks Calvin and Hobbes) into a more consistent pellet. By the way, if anybody can import and post the Calvin comic with the snowchicken beheading the snowman, it's a HOOT and I'd love for folks to chuckle like I did. We can all use a laugh nowadays!
