How do I find the right pellets for my new Remington sabre .117. I’m looking for range and accuracy for target practice. Currently using RWS Superdome 8.3gr (what the shop guy recommended me). Is there any place that will sell you a pack of 20-40 pellets per tin just to test them instead of buying a hole tin?

Look for sampler packs from H&N on Amazon or eBay. Usually 5-6 clear plastic tubes that contain brand top performers, easily enough to see if preferred by gun, about $20. Search, "H&N pellet sampler" on Amazon, to view, WM

Worried man beat me to it. Heck my local sporting goods store has the sampler packs. I think Pyramyd carries them in stock also.
Cheapest source I know is Walmart for pellets, mine has a good assortment both .177 and .22

I haven’t seen a sampler like that lately. Straight Shooters did it for many years but they retired several years back.
Perhaps you can buy a tin of each type and split the leftovers to sell here as samplers.

You might be able to save some time and money by searching online for what people say it likes the most. That could put you in the ballpark without spending a mint on various pellets.

Pyramyd air does buy 3 get one free. I would choose Crosman premier dome, H+N FTT, and JSB Exact 8.4 and 10.3. Those are 4 pellets that tend to work in a lot of different rifles for field target shooters, odds are at least one of them will work in your rifle. Once you have it figured out, stock up with the same deal.

We have an awesome local outdoor store, Bob's in Longview Wa. they had the pellet sampler packs on the shelf in both .177 and .22 if I had to pick my favorite business in my small city it would be Bob's. Gators over in Kelso for PB's. Bob's has a great fun department too.

Any pellet with a flat nose like that is for cutting clean holes in paper at short range. They can work to hunt pigeons and sparrows at close range where it doesn’t take much punch to kill.
The ones that perform at distance have round noses. For hunting I include some pointed tip designs when there is a hide to punch through.

These are my go to pellets in .177, alternatively JSB 8.4g pellets. Hugo, Across the pond you might have different options than we have here in the states.

JSB and H&N are generally good out of most guns. The more power the heavier the pellet. I would try 8 to 10gr for hunting and longer distances. Domed pellets tend to be most accurate.

By chance are you 12ft lbs limited?.
If yes. JSB/FX 10.3 at 710-720 will be your friend. Or if your rifle prefers harder the same weight in AEA/JTS. Baracuda match 10.65 do extremely well in my beeman break barrel. 706-714 reliable as the sunrise. About 9-11mm groups at 23m
