Personal Best

I know these groups are common here but this is a personal best for me. 3 groups in a row. 100 yards 5 shots each, Impact MKII .30 STX pellet liner shooting JSB 44.75s at 920 FPS. The side-to-side increase was right in line with the increasing wind. It was a short session but a great day at the range!

Great shooting on all three groups. The wind is hard to deal with, especially with pellets, for sure. It is good to see more and more people coming up with sub MOA groups at 100 yards. I have a .30 barrel for my Impact I have not installed yet and may never as I have an M3 in .30 coming soon I hope. I am looking forward to shooting like that.

Nice shooting. Have you been tinkering with and tuning your Impact to get to this point?

Just all the typical stuff, as updates have become available I have added the power plenum, slug kit etc. I have the double transfer port but still get the most velocity from an enlarged and smoothed single port.

Hammer spring close to max, power wheel on max 4 lines on valve limiter reg at 135 bar shoots JSB 44.75 at about 960. These groups were shot at 920 by turning the power wheel down.

Very nice groups! I have been on the same journey as you mentioned with my .30 MKII with same STX liner, tune and pellets used along with adding PP and slug kit. No long range groups to share over 50 yards, but have done plenty of 85 yard head shots on Eastern gray squirrels on the ground. It was like I could not miss on fifteen over a three day period. Two were top of the neck shots and thirteen were head shots. My best days with it so far. The .30 cal. is really something.
