Airgun Technologies pest control 177 slugs or 22 pellets

I use the .177 jsb KO mk3s and they expand excellent at 880 fps .They were just what my Taipan compact needed for pesting. Small entry, massive internal damage, no pass throughs on body shots and flat shooting As much as I like the .177s the .22 caliber is my favorite for an all around pesting or hunting airgun. Either will work but 50y accuracy, for me, goes to the .22 cals .

The larger .177 mk3 expanded to over .35" at just over 30y on a tree rat . The smaller one is .25" .

Guys, thanks for the input.
With the info so far I'm favouring the 177 as it is the lower power option but plenty for the pests present. I'm gonna find a bit more info on the vixen long 177.
I'm seeing some contradictions on the internet people pretty much are describing it as a very accurate, rock solid gun but some say it quite some say its loud.
If anybody found a db number or sound measurement on the vixen 177 long (full power not 12fpe) please share ;).

Had a 177 Vixen long. Sold it a while back and wish I never did. Was super accurate with 10gr zans, jsb 10gr slugs and pellets. I never got a DB number but had to be one if not the quietest guns I had. I used it for pack rats around the wood pile. It's a 50yrd shot from my porch and had no issues. The gun also has a nice look to it. I think you would be more than happy with the vixen!
