Pesting#183 - Pigeons & Starlings

Stopped by two farms to shoot some pigeons, doves and starlings with my Impact.

Enjoy.

Max , more great shots & awesome permission to have . The pigeon shooting here is down ,but the sparrows are making up for it . The rats have rebounded as well . I stopped over at the #1 barn 2 days ago to check it out around 5:30 . I took my Kral NP-03 along . As I peered through the shooting window I saw dozens of rats ! I tried to line up on one but they were constantly moving and crossing paths. I got a shot off but missed & they scattered. Oh well , it should be a good evening shoot I thought. After waiting for nearly 30 minutes for any to reappear I decided to bag it & head home. I got back to the barn at around 8:30 and got action right away . I got 3 in 10 minutes along w/ a couple mice. The action slowed and rain came in ,so I collected the two rats I could , disposed of them & headed for the house. I went back the next day to find the farm hands unloading haywagons in the barn , so I concentrated my efforts on HOSP's. While plinking them a groundhog made an appearance . I moved my vehicle to a spot to exit & set up for it .The wait was only about 5 min.s .The Hades from the Katran did the trick @ 35 yrd.s. I put a second in it for insurance , then placed & prepped it in the nearby field for the cleanup crew.

@Contndr35BB. Sounds like you had a busy and wonderful shoot at your permission. Yeah, the rats can be difficult to shoot with them moving around so much. Just have to wait for them to pause or stop to eat something. I started rats shooting again lately and I was able to tag a few with my HW100/Pard008 setup. Good job helping out the farmers to get rid some of these pests. Cheers.
