Picatinny Knee Riser Creation

I recently created this picatinny knee riser for my FX Impact after not finding one available anywhere else. This is 3d printed and has thumb screws and thumb nuts too. They give me the ability to adjust the position of each part of the riser independently. I spent probably 10+ hours designing the parts, plus another 2-3hours determining where to get thumb screws from. 

I don't know whether I will sell these or not as the thumb screws must be ordered from Hong Kong and take about 3 weeks to arrive, plus the other hassle of getting everything printed. I will not offer the dimensions that I used as this is still a design that I might have other uses for. You can merely use this as a template if you are interested in designing your own.

That looks really nice and matches the style of the Impact very well. I've always wondered why hamsters/risers aren't more prominent and available here in the states.

I'm getting the one from RAW. Yeah, it's a bit much, but it looks solid. My RAW is pretty heavy with the laminate stock and I want to be sure the riser I have will really hold all that weight with out moving. I'll post a picture once I've got it set up.

One issue seems to be every gun manufacture has their own/or nothing place to secure it to.

they both attach to the standard anshutz rail. One of only a few, and most widely used rail for target rifles.

That's why I developed this one for myself as I was not going to spend $200+ on a knee riser. The sport has already cost me enough that I said NO for right now. The knee riser came in at a price point that's a fraction of the other options available. There's also the fact that I can learn what I do and don't like and make new ones to fit my varying preferences.

The Impact, scope, and fully loaded magazine weigh in at a little over 10lbs and so far this looks like it can take that wait no problem. Once I get the infamous .177 barrel for the Impact then I'll be able to say how to hold's up in competition.

I'm still deciding between open and hunter. This riser was originally going to be used for my standing and kneeling shots in hunter, but maybe I'll just do open.

Is tightening the lower thumbscrew an issue? It appears to be very close to block and looks like it might be difficult to get sufficient purchase on the knurled knob to tighten it enough.
