After a lot of efforts including modifications of shroud, barrel polishing, installing a barrel holder and now after re crowning the barrel and preparing the breech end, things seems to have been improved greatly.

Here are pics of 10 shot 80 yards group .22 25 grain redesigned monster pellets at around d 920fps.

Also the pics of re crowning procedure.

I couldn't think that Daystate QC would skip the most important parts of the barrel i.e. Crown and breech.

A disappointment again.

As I tested it on range with proper rest, initially it shot good but gradually during the session it started becoming worse and worse.

Surprisingly to the extent that now I plan to install an FX barrel in it to see if it gets fixed this way or not.
Are you checking for bore fouling using a borescope ?
A clean patch can be a false indicator from a leaded barrel.

That is so unfortunate. However, if the company headquarters were as close to me as they are to you, I would pay a visit and demand an explanation.
4.5 hours each way is somewhat of a deterrent. 😕
And then there is the hassle of whether or not Daystate would accept any work to be covered by the warranty - which is certainly not a given.

There is some more testing today. Previously I had set the Huma regulator at 145 bars and through advanced settings I was doing all the tuning work.

I was under the impression that as 145 bars is producing the required power, I need not increase the reg pressure.

But today I recalled about my experience with Impact mk1. It had a small plenum and in order to achieve good accuracy I had to enhance the regulator pressure to around 160 bars and linit the valve opening by valve adjuster.

If I would achieve same required power with lesser reg pressure, Impact would not be accurate. Presumably at low reg pressure the air follows the pellet a long way and disturbs it.

I tried that same concept on Delta Wolf today. I increased the reg pressure to 162 bars, reduced the dewel time and increased the hammer hit.

This way I achieved the same required fps but now the group is much better.

I am so much tired now.

I shall try to further tune it on the same lines.

I hope something good will be achieved.

So finally increasing the reg pressure to 165 bars, hammer 3570 and voltage 77 fixed the tuning issues.

I assume that my understanding regarding Delta Wolf having a small plenum is correct.

Later I also read somewhere that plenum size of Delta Wolf is around 33cc.

So it is a must to keep the regulator high.

Looks like my Impact mk1 with small plenum theory worked for me.

It's not that gun didn't need the barrel clamp and barrel polishing etc. but a desired tuning is the thing which if missing, PCP goes South.
