how did your shortening off the barrel affect accuracy and fpe, ive been considering the same thing but cant find much info on the subject.

Getting ready for another firearms deer season!

November 15 here in Michigan!

Traded in my Texan last year for a Hatsan Piledriver and after hunting with it and shooting a doe at 72 yards... I decided I wanted to make it shorter this year for easy carry and better manuver ability! Think it's gonna be sweet!!!

Factory the barrel was 34 inches...I had 10 inches removed!

Will be testing tomorrow afternoon...have a bunch of different slugs to try.

I have a .50 Piledriver and I am looking to shorten my barrel also as with a DonnyFL GreatKami (14" long) it's abit on the long side. You took 10" off yours, but I might of saw something that you wished it would of been 6". Any updates on the shorter barrel piledriver project ? How much FPS and or FPE did you lose ?

Appreciate whatever information you would like to share on this.
