Pimp my P-rod

So I decided on pimping out my p-rod instead of getting a 1k+ gun. I also have a syn-rod but that thing is too heavy, great for bench but just too much to carry around, I'm looking at getting rid of that. I like the p-rod cause it's compact and light weight. One thing I find unusual is the length of pull (16") is longer then every gun that I have ever shouldered, easily an inch more. Thinking of cutting down the stock, besides that I think the p-rod is great for it's intended range. Also decided on a red dot vs a scope for less weight and sub 10yds situations.

Unfortunately here in Commiefornia air guns are only allowed for small game. Jack rabbits and such so no reason for anything high fpe. I would love to get me a .357 Slayer. Ideally I would like to take out racoons mice/rats with the p-rod but not alert the neighbors. I guess head shots only with lower fpe on coons. Also take it small game hunting every once in a while. Soon all of Commiefornia will have ban leaded firearm ammo for hunting and not just in the current condor zone. But it only applies to firearms and not air guns.

I'm looking at more consistency, accuracy and power. I have only shot crosman premier HP from wallyworld and at 25meters get about 1.5" groups including flyers. Those premiers sure have lots of flyers but I like to stick with'em cause of availability and cost. But if they can't handle the higher velocity with more fpe then I'm gonna have to go with something heavier, got a sample test pack of JSP on ordered. Gun is completely stock, no adjustments or ever even clean the barrel. When I first got a shooting chrony it showed high of 698.7fps and low of 680.9fps after two magazines which falls into the ~15fpe range. Third magazine is where it really drops off and gets below 680fps, lose about 5fps for every shot.

I just ordered the Huma regulator from Air Superiority. Am gonna go with the Hill #25 kit, it's crazy that he has a #31 kit. I thought 25# was already crazy for the p-rod. I also want to get the WAR NBH when it is available as well as the LDC. Kinda hesitant on the LDC cause it is three times the cost of the Erator. I know that more volume reduces noise but will it be that much more? I know going with the hill #25 kit will flow more air thus making more noise but I don't plan on using 25fpe maybe adjusting down to 20fpe. Also gonna have to clean up all the burrs once everything is apart.

So should there be anything else I should look at to pimp my p-rod?

You're trying to mix together parts that are kinda designed for different applications.

If you got a regulator, you don't need the depinger (I don't think you need it at all in a P-rod) or heavy spring. The opposite - you want a lighter spring. If you want higher fpe, you don't want a regulator.

Look into getting a custom barrel like Jim Gaska hammer forged barrels or order a LW blank and have it machined.

Here is a thread for some other ideas:

That link shows some really cool mods. I like to keep mine small and light.
Already ordered the Huma and Hill parts and am waiting for WAR parts to be in stock.

Interesting...I'm thinking that to increase power it needs to increase air flow but accuracy and consistency is required too.

I always thought of a regulator as giving consistency with the benefit of efficiency that increase shot count and I believe the Huma one is adjustable too for more or less pressure/power.

With the increase in power and air flow I would think that there is more noise....maybe just in the barrel only and not in the air tube?? The depinger would reduce more noise and the Hill one is as the complete kit all mates with each other to hopefully gives more shot count and makes it more accurate with more power.

I'm trying to increase from 15fpe to 20fpe which is not possible with the stock setup as far as my research has shown but also have a tighter high/low spread and smallest SD. More shot count is a bonus but if I get less or is no better then stock but with better consistency and accuracy then I'll still be satisfy.
