Other Pinty QM23 Bullpup

I ordered and received a Pinty QM23. It arrived yesterday in excellent condition.
It's surprisingly light and compact.

So, a quick barrel cleaning, a few shots and left it overnight. This morning it had lost no air pressure so over the chrony it goes.
I loaded a full mag of JSB 15.89s and fired away. 880 fps plus or minus 3 fps. Amazing for a new gun, new reg. It stayed on the bench until this afternoon.

I dug through my scopes and found a compact 3-12 Bugbuster that would seem a good match. This is where the problem became apparent. The gun has a picatinney looking rail. The brochure says 22mm picatinny. The mounts would not tighten. Two different sets of mounts just flopped around. I even found a Pinty 4x tactical with built in picatinney mounts. A caliper revealed that the mounts are only 19mm wide.

Anyone else have this problem? I awaiting a response from the seller listed I the brochure. I hope it's an anomoly as I think I'll quite like it if it's accurate.

Here is an entire thread on it:

Just received this

Hi,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Upon checking with our technician, the factory made a mistake during production, resulting in some products having rail sizes that are not 22mm. We have requested the factory to custom-make a new batch rail with the correct rail sizes, which is expected to be completed in one month. Can you wait for the part?

Alternatively, if you can find a use for the item, we would like to issue you a refund of $30 as compensation.

Please let us know your thoughts.

Further stufy reveals that the gun does not have a picatinney rail as

reflect this.

Well, I took the money. I centered up the original scope rail in the Bridgeport and machined the original 19mm picatinney rail off. Drilled and tapped it and mounted an aluminum picatinney rail. Virtually perfect. I'm going to like this gun.
One magazine and it was sighted in, 22 yards, all pellets touching.

I'll extend out to 50 plus tomorrow.

You forgot to take the cap off the lever.

I like it too (for the price), event hough it's been leaking since I got it almost 2 weeks ago.

Some small things I did not like:
-trigger safety catching on the trigger guard, so it won't even shoot
-top picatinny rail screw in the rear was too long and scarring the linking rod
-screw ajusting the sear is stripped

I didn't forget. I just didn't want to accidentally bang up the finishes I was tinkering. I think I'll make a peak valve and a free flight spring, and lighten the hammer. May get more steam and greater shot count. Internal plenum extension......
PRICE has gone up twenty dollars.
I have also left the cap on the cocking lever. I like the feel of it. Also just measured my rails and seem to be 20mm at the widest point. I ordered this scope from amazon that comes with quick detach rails and they seem to fit just fine. https://a.co/d/63RVr7l
