Pistol scope recommendation

Hi everyone,
This is my first post here and I want to add a reasonably priced pistol scope. Red dot has been great but I want to extend the range. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I have a 2x and 2-7x BSA pistol scope. The glass is good on both, eye box is good on the 2-7x until you max out the zoom. Reticles are plain but suit my short range shooting just fine. These are both budget pistol scopes compared to leupold and Burris.

I’m curious about how much better a $300-$500 pistol scope is compared to the $100 ones. I’ll be picking up a huben pistol soon and want to top it off with some nice glass. But don’t want to buy one just to find out it’s only marginally better than the bsa 2-7x. I’d love to hear from someone who owns budget and top tier pistol scopes.

These are my two.
#1 Burris 1.25-4x20mm
#2 Center Point 2x20mm

Burris one seems to be pretty uncommon, and is extremely clear and well made.

The CP one appears to be near identical to the BSA scopes of same specs. CP was discontinued, and I paid almost nothing for it. No real complaints to speak of, has always functioned as I'd expect or want.

this is a red dot not a scope , no magnification right ?
I suppose you’re right. If the true definition of a scope is magnification. This red dot has a reticle in it, that will allow for hold overs. Which in my experience few optics with long eye reliefs and budget minded have.

the red dot you have on the HW44 is about 150.00 whereas it could be a 30.00 reflex sight
my point is i get the idea you buy what you want, now a Burris 2-7 x32 would be my choice but be aware multi mag pistol scopes have different eye relief as the power goes up starting here at about 11 inch up to 20+ inches and price is about 390.00
i follow the rule that the cost of the scope should match the price of the gun LOL

@h2okenny - I have had no parallax issues shooting the HW44 with the Burris scope. The eye box is big so I can shoot arms extended and the pistol resting on a bag. Perhaps free hand there could be some parallax, but I use a red dot for that, much lighter and more forgiving. The HW44 is my go to squirrel killer.

since there is very few selection for pistol scope, anyone use a red dot and a magnifier?
I have tried it, and it does work very well. Problem for me is anything I want to use it on has an 11mm rail, and I just can't get the 20mm mounts to cooperate quite well enough even with adapters....

I'm of the school of thought that basically any sight can be as accurate as the next (assuming it isn't broken). Problem is, my eyes are aging. I do have some Riton 2moa red dots that I REALLY like, and do keep on two pistols. Very fine dot allows for some very precise shots even for my declining sight.
