Rebuilding my 1960 vintage Sheridan Blue Streak and have a problem with the piston cup. Have a new one in the seal kit but the original appears to have been molded into the rod assembly. Any idea how to install the new one?
Well, I think I’ve answered my own question. The OEM cup in the ‘60 model C is molded into the threaded metal rod end. The top of the cup fits around a raised center section, like a donut. The top of the cup in the kit is flat - not going to fit. So had to order a new pump rod assembly.
