I have a couple, three PCP guns. They are special to me for various reasons, they are for the most part flawless as far as accuracy.
I have several piston guns. Most are older, and have just become better as I enjoy them.
PCP guns are like machines, or robots. They just do what they are told. And they do it very well.
Piston guns have a soul to them. You need to get to know each gun. When you compress the spring and hear the snick, that’s a beautiful thing. When the smooth well adjusted trigger releases the sear you can feel the spring moving and creating the compression. The best of them leave no real sensation of the actual enormous pressure and heat it creates. The amount of energy applied to use the gun is given back many times over.
I sometimes venture to the Darkside. But I will always return to the light.
