Plano 52” vs 42” hard case!!!

Just sharing if anyone Wants to see how both of these cases look side by side comparison ,
I personally like the 42”
the structure is beefy @ 9.5lbs
and provided option to use straps and tie down anchors is very cool!!!
enjoy. 5EFF58DE-F654-4974-944F-697D0C6EF6B1.jpeg40316244-4BC6-49D2-95C1-CFDBE5B4B008.jpeg8E48B026-828B-4495-9FC5-12C3EC6F627C.jpeg

Gosh . . . I've had my various rifles resting in Plano cases with foam liners for 4 years now without any sign of damage. Believe me, I wouldn't trust such guns as my TX200 to anything else. I do add a couple of desiccant bags to each case to keep out any moisture. I lug these cases to the range regularly, and at age 76, they present no problem. Orv.

the truth be told Doskocil, Gun Guard and now Plano cases are not even close to be what they used to be
they stopped making the DXL cases, they stopped making their great soft cases
and what they have to offer now i am not impressed but no one make a great hard case that is priced well
i have DXL cases from the late 70's and over 30 in different sizes and in all the time of storage in those case i have had no rust

Ok guys as promised,
sharing with u guys,
my both pcp fit snug in this 42” Plano,
with potato’s on the front of course,
and the whole case weigh is also doable…View attachment 471069View attachment 471070View attachment 471071View attachment 471072
I wouldn’t feel comfortable with my guns being that close together. It seems to me that the main point of a large, expensive gun case like a Plano is to keep the guns protected even if the case gets banged around, but I’d feel like my guns would be more likely to be damaged packed in close like that than they would be in an inexpensive Flambeau case.
