Playing sniper hide this morning with the starlings

Just received my AA S510 carbine in .22 walnut, and it is a shooter, for sure. Non-regulated, which apparently doesn't make any difference with the number of shots available nor accuracy. The tube fills to 190cc and the gauge has barely moved after five magazines of sighting in and just have fun punching hole in the target at 30 yds. I am impressed with how quiet the stock shroud system is. Very backyard friendly. I ordered a DonnyFL twin mail adapter anyway, since I have a couple of moderators I want to try out. Easily as accurate as my Daystate, and much lighter. Love it.

Reactions: Headshots
Well I haven't seen a starling in my back yard for weeks, but the sparrows are swarming. I have been getting out a different gun each day to exercise them on 25 yd elevated (24 ft) kill shots at the top of a tree. There are some dead branches on which they like to perch and preen . . . but not for long when I'm hunting. From those branches they always fall on my side of the fence so I can pick them up. Today I shot the .22 Akela and it was dead on. Shot the .177 BSA R10 later on and it was also dead on. Lots of fun and quiet too.

The photos show the top of the tree where they land after flying from the thick cover of a large shrub.
