Please - Need suggestions for scope rings

If you still the adjustability, Burris Signature XTR Rings are very good and have had many comments here on the Forums.
They come in 3 different heights, so likely the tallest would suit your need. They have plastic inserts that are of varying thickness to adjust the scope into almost any position needed, and the insert will NOT mar the scope tube at all. Not cheap though.
They an be had at many places, but below is the Burris site for more information.

Do those Burris rings work on dovetail receivers? It is hard to tell from their photos if they are dovetail or Picatinny only rings.

Sarc,. alert. I'm surprised you got the FX NO Limits to work at all, mine are in a dump somewhere, literally couldn't get enough torque on them to tighten the slop, had to resort to shims, didn't even make good paperweights. I spent a bit more and got, Eagle Visions, nice, precision made, work perfectly, worth every penny.
Never had a problem with mine. but i don't have an FX pcp, I had them on ATHLON BTR GEN2 8-34x56 mounted on a 340 fpe pcp and then 257 Texan, 308 Texan and now just sits in the box because I went digital.
For the FX No-Limit adjustable scope rings, here are the recommended torque specifications: (30mm tube)

  • Base screws (for dovetail mounts on air rifles/rimfires): 35 in-lbs
  • Base screws (for Weaver/Picatinny mounts): 45 in-lbs
  • Height/angle adjustment screw: 35 in-lbs
  • Ring cap screws: Follow the scope manufacturer's specs—Vortex recommends 13-18 in-lbs, but 15 in-lbs is a common standard.
One thing to watch out for—if your rifle has a rounded receiver, these mounts might not seat properly, which could lead to breakage when torquing down. Always double-check the fit before tightening.

Hello AGN friends,

I currently have FX no limit rings on an FX Dreamline. They have lost zero for the third time. One side of each ring cap keeps loosening. Absolutely ridiculous for a platform with zero recoil or vibration. My problem is the height of the Dreamline mag. Any suggestions for a quality very tall set of rings would be much appreciated. They don't need to be adjustable as rifle is used for pesting under 65 yards.

Thank you in advance.
just buy the best name brand rings , they are worth it .

Late to this posting.... I have an FX Dreamline Classic with the BKL #257 mediums that allow enough mag space with my Hawke Vantage 3-12 mounted. It could matter more as to where your eye relief and scope length plays into the ring mounting as far as compatibility to the mag clearing or interference.
I've had no issue with the BKL single screw strap mounting and holding securely and they provide a clean and simple look. (y)

Mine were pure garbage, see the shim part, if you have to shim something to make up the slop, it's wrong. There was zero excuse for them to have been anywhere near a shipping container, a scrap bin perhaps.

Yeah....they were recommended from Utah Airguns for the sole purpose of being able to clear the Dreamline mag. They worked great last summer when it was in the 100s here and I was slaying ground squirrels on my property but then came fall and winter and these rings would never stay tight! I have seen a positive comments about the Eagle Visions. I will take a look. Thanks for the input.
Just curious....have you thought about using blue threadlock on the threads? Might help.
