Please rate my planned purchase set up

You list a tank but no compressor. How will you fill it? Make sure you budget for that. A hand pump is an inexpensive and relatively simple way to fill your gun directly and keep it topped off, but it requires physical effort. This is a good starting point for many, including myself, but you have to not let the reservoir get too low, or you end up doing a lot of pumping at once; bad for both you and the hand pump seals. You would need to do somewhere around 5 minutes of pumping for every 20-30 shots, depending on power level. I guarantee you won't want to use a hand pump to fill a tank though...the effort would be exhausting!

A small compressor could fill your gun directly, eliminating the need for a tank, but may not have a long life. A large compressor will do the job for years but is much more costly and complex. Tradeoffs to consider.

I will be ordering my first PCP shortly and I would like a little feedback on the complete set up please.

FX Dreamline Lite with the 500mm barrel in .22
FX's version of the DonnyFL
Element Helix with Sportmatch Rings
Omega 75 cu ft tank

I mostly plan on plinking with it but I'm open to pesting. I have no real interest in slugs other than trying them out. I like to tweak and dicker around with things but can't afford an Impact and not sure I need all that power in the first place. Also that leaves headroom for potential purchases down the road and there is just something downright appealing about the Dreamlines.
I also like traditional style air rifles with a wood stock. I also gain great amusement from the new and better and fantastic SLUG hype and craze. !!! I have no interest in the newest and best slug of the week, able to hit a (whatever) in the eyeball at 200 yards ...............after 23 attempts and some clever video editing along with a new dose of sales hype for the new next weeks more better slug. Grin!!! Naw surely they do not do that, Yep they do. I am a very experienced shooter and they are not fooling me. Chuckle. All of those reviews and videos have one purpose, to sell you that new and better slug of the week. I might be able to hit a Pidgeon at 200 yards, after a dozen shots and get the wind deflection figured out and then hold unto my lucky horseshoe and on the 23 try simply get lucky when the projectile actually finally flies true. I certainly cannot do that with one shot, and over and over again and again without a miss.......however they do, it is called video editing.

The Dreamline is a wonderful little rifle. It is light, extremely accurate has an adequate shot count (around 60 per fill) and that tank you are including will fill it to 3000 psi around 16 times and 12 times at the full 3300 psi. You will lose only 9 or so shots at 3000 psi.
FX designs their rifles around a specific pellet. The Dreamline is designed for the JSB or FX 15.89 grain and has years of use and proof behind that so choice of pellet is already furnished.
If you like to go exploring and walk in the woods plinking at whatever and shooting offhand this is the setup for you. A 12 pound bench rifle is not a good choice for simply having fun shooting at cans offhand.
There are 3 air rifles in the mix of a thousand choices that are very under rated, very accurate, light, reliable and just perfect for plinking, exploring the woods or fields etc.
The Dreamline is one. The Daystate Regal is another and also the HW100 is a great rifle.
With sorted pellets all three of these are capable of a one inch group at 100 yards. These rifles are simply passed over for the most part in this new and better slug hype and spending hours and hours and more money and more money to tune that impact for the new and better slug. Lol!!

Nothing at all wrong or problematic with your choices. You will enjoy this set up.

Cheers
Kit

Yes, but that was “your” particular Bantam Sniper” mine has been stellar for three years and going… I’m not the “only” satisfied Bantam owner… not disputing that there was something wrong with “yours”. Just don’t couch it as the norm… Brococks are solidly built guns.
Yes Luis,

But if for any reason someone with no experience would have to deal with same problems I had with my Bantam Sniper, the hobbie dies just there ( replacing the broken spring of the hammer, making a new cheek piece and replacing the barrell, not minor topics).

Now my Bantam Sniper is a super champ.... But now.

lose the tank, buy a compressor. GX-3 is fine IMO.

Or, keep the tank and add a compressor. But tanks=PITA for the most part IMO, at least for everyday use. I shoot way too much for running to the store that often.

Also, add a quality in-line dryer. Don't fill your nice PCP up with water that corrodes it.

I've never shot an FX I didn't like. So.... The rest is great - can't go wrong with anything from them
if he has air in his area he should be just fine , if he gets tired of airing up he can allways pursue a compressor , , i think hes got a great plan !
