N/A Please show me pictures of your bottle clamps with picatinny rail on the bottom for the bipod.

Hi Friends

i have a fx dreamline lite with a tuxing 700cc carbon bottle (diameter 61.5mm)

i am unable to find any rail extensions for my dreamlite- the one on the bottom next to the trigger guard- i want to extend the small rail to mount the bipod further out but there is nothing out there except for impacts..

so i will have to go off my bottle- its long, 700cc.. just a standard tuxing carbon bottle from amazon.. i like to put something pretty on it- something that fits my likings..

i know everyone has different taste so go ahead and show me which bottle clamp with picatinny rail you got on your airgun.. and maybe tell me where you bought it..

edit: maybe i could just buy this metal clamp 60mm and weld a piece of picatinny rail onto it? if the picatinny rail is metal and weldable then it should not be any problem, right?

edit2: ok- i found plenty of steel picatinny rails so i will be able to weld it (just few point welds, little ones) to the metal clamps and set it on my 700cc bottle all the way in front... and i think i will get 2 clamps for better stability.

what you guys think?

thanks

Okay you asked for it, my clamps ( 60 mm bottle and ?? mm tube fit FX Cyclone )

None of them should really exist, the rifle makers should make their stuff right and not with those 2" picatinny rail right in front of trigger guard, CUZ really IMO putting a bipod there and you might as well put a pogo stick there, it is a joke and to me sort of a insult.

In relation to my thethered at bench post.
IF the rifles get to expensive to make with a proper rail ( dont think that is ever a concern with any brand )
Then at least offer alternatives, like i suggest in my post for instance with bottle less rifles for us that shoot bench and tethered, going that route we can remove rail and put on any bottle we have if need be.

BUT ! no airgun brand i am aware of is about empowering airgunners, it is something else they are after.

Great question, but you really do have more options than you think to extend that pic rail. Depends on how far you want to extend it.
  1. Something short like just a Picatinny rail riser works… (lots of options but here are just a couple at Amazon
    1. https://a.co/d/aWnf2BN
    2. https://a.co/d/eP6Q1cp
  2. Buy something like the Saber Tactical universal extension or AGT or RTI extension for more money.
    1. https://sabertacticalinc.com/collec.../universal-picatinny-to-picatinny-rail-st0032
  3. Make your own with some scope rings and a carbon fiber rod and a pic rail ring adapter
    1. See mine attached for example.
Hope this shows you that you have some more options than just bottle mounts.

yes, i like it but is it stable? it needs to carry entire guns weight- and its so far extended.. i think its resting against the bottle which is not a bad thing

I don’t know any of these that rest on the bottle, and that is the point, to find a way not to rest the whole gun’s weight in the rifle. There is no flex in mine.

good to know...

and what do you think about me taking 2x 60mm metal clamps and welding a 20cm picc rail to them?

that way i could place the welded clamps at the front and in the middle of the rail (at 1cm and 10cm)- and slide it forward on the bottle which would extend the rail 10cm past the end of the bottle and that finally would place the bipod near the muzzle..

its going to cost me 47euros all together for the 2x clamps and the rail..

its not pretty but i will forget pretty at this point and concentrate on practical and functional..

the bottle placement should not be a problem right? i mean the bottle should not flex i hope?

it has a large thread point and its under 250bar so i would think it can hold the larger portion of the entire weight without flexing and touching barrel?

There is a lot going on with those rings and I’m not sure how thick they are. There usually isn’t a lot of room between the barrel and the bottle, which is why the Saber Tactical clamp is open at the top.

As far as pressure on the bottle and flex… you are going to get different opinions on here as it has been debated before. I have never had a problem using a bottle clamp, but some would say you shouldn’t. I normally try to find another way if I can.
