Wow, this post was a blast from the past.

Yeah, I use the black ring method as well. I'm not completely sure how helpful it is, but it makes sense to me.

AZ, it's hard to remember that far back!! But, if I remember correctly, I was used to shooting groups with my 30fpe Royale 200, and then I got the Boss and tried to shoot it the same way. I learned that it needs to be held a bit more firmly than a 30fpe rifle. I think I hadn't figured that out yet when I made the post. A bit of very consistent (from shot to shot) downwards pressure from the thumb in the thumb up way of holding the rifle seemed to produce some good results.
