POLISH AN LW POLYGONAL BARREL?

I still see brown rust. Switch to the brass brush to be remove it. And use a bigger grit polish.
Dont fear the brass brush.
Little science for you. Brass is MUCH softer than steel.

And for the ones worried about using a brass / bronze brush, take the brush to a spot on the outside of the barrel and scrub like hell. Clean and inspect with a loupe or some other means. Unless it's made out of cheese, you won't see any damage, it may give it a slight polish. Just stay away from the cheap brushes with steel cores.

Nope brand new.
I don't think there's any rust. I scoped the whole barrel. That's near the crown so could be a light reflection from the room. Nothing in the original pic either.

I've sent AGT an email and they would like me to ship the barrel back to them for inspection, and they'll determine if it's a factory defect
I was hoping they would just send me one so I wouldn't be without the rifle for 6 weeks. I bought it from Talon Tunes, and they clearly don't want to be involved.Frankly, it shoots better in my limited testing after I polished it. I'm going to shoot it some more, and at distance, and if accuracy has improved despite the pitting, I'm just going to keep it. It sucks, but I'm not competing with this rifle, and if it's MOA at 100 (it was about this already) I don't have much to gain. I would just be proving a point. And I'd rather have my coyote hammer at the ready

But I wouldn’t blame you for keeping it if it’s accurate. But it would still be a hard pill to swallow.
And that seems bad of Tony to not want to deal with it. HE sold it to you. HE should make it right. Pretty cut and dry for me.
And sadly I was looking to buy a rifle from Talon Tunes because of the several glowing reviews on here lately.
But him pushing the problem off on you is a huge red flag for me. I won’t be spending my money there.

They might want to know where and how it has been stored in the interim? I would want to know if they at least had a layer of corrosion inhibitor in there. Just a layer of oil, at the very least.

What is the AGT warranty time frame these days if I may ask..? I'm an AGT fan but dang that would piss me off to know end.. Hopefully it gets a bunch of Yotes to make up for it.

I'd have to look it up. I do my own work, and the gun has run flawlessly, so I'm not sure at the moment.

Not a poligonal but an FX liner (a first out of six I have and I was planning the exercise).
Borescoped, firelapped with Clover 280, moped with 280, borescoped, and pushed the pellet in and out, and casted a plug and lapping now with it 280.... all these hours of effort and I am on the borderline I need to stop somewhere., and soon...
If this would be easy everybody would do it.
Today morning it was 3C in my garage, I am running a 4000 W heater for an hour already, I wanna give it a last try

It seems normal for him to not deal with issues, thats what stopped me from making a purchase. A good company is measured how they deal with issues after the sale, anyone can prep it, through it in a box and ship it fast. SPAW is the same way, have a issue…crickets.
