Wow reading about all the improvements/additions to air rifles reminds me of what 1911 aficionados do to their guns.

I’m honestly thinking of the set up you describe but with a Williams rear sight. You reckon the 50 would be a good stock set up for the peep rears? My desire for a .22 might have been tempered with the .177 accuracy.Absolute, hands down my favorite air rifle is the HW50S 177cal. I,ve always had 22cal air rifles,HWs and others. I got the HW50 in 177 because I did'nt care for the
FPS numbers with the 22cal model. You would lobbing them in there at 500 & somethin FPS. MY HW 50 has the best trigger. I like it better than the trigger on my FX Dream. 5 shot dime size groups at 25 yds. And the pellet gets there fast and with authority. No spring boing noise. Fluid smooth cocking right out of the box.It likes H&N Barracuda Match and H&N FTT 4.50 pellets. I put a Hawke AMX 2-7x32 on it. It's just freakin nice. If i were'nt gonna get cremated I'd take this 1 with me.lol
My HW80SLK was shipped today.Yeah, in the past almost all my guns were received within 3/4 days of ordering.
I think it's been hard having so few guns supplied to them by Weihrauch .... and many, new US orders.
Well E-bay still has the Winchester. https://www.ebay.com/p/22017384537My current break barrel rifle go to pellet slingers are:
.177 Winchester 1100SS
.22 Ruger Impact Max Elite
[Both under $170 brand new]
Tis my first .177 break barrel*I'll be 35 soon*I purposely went "cheap" for my startersIIRC, the Winchester 1100 used to have a wood stock and was made by Hatsan w/Quattro trigger.
The one listed above seems to be of worse quality (than the Hatsan 95 clone produced by Hatsan).
This is a good starter gun for a 16 YO, who will likely move on to a better gun eventually.
Plenty of power, with a indestructible stock, but lacking in most other important areas. However, for $80 - it gets you shooting.
Of course, this is just my opinion .
The first time I purchased from Krale the card wouldn't go through either - called the card folks and everything has worked.Just tried to place my order for a 50S in .177, it gives me an error code to call my bank. I call my bank and they say nothing is wrong. It’s on the Krale side. So I sent them an email and now we wait!
I truly appreciate EVERYONE who chimed in. Truly I do. Y’all made my decision a more informed one.
Once we get this order squared away, I’ll start a thread dedicated to my 50S and my journey with it.
Thank y’all!

Got the gun today (HW80SLK).Krale has been kinda shaky lately with web listing and follow through.
My original HW35E order made in late August was almost 3 month in waiting. This gun was listed as in stock when ordered.
So last week when the HW80SL became available (in stock in both calibers), I asked if I could change my order and pay the difference. They said yes, so I paid immediately and waited a few days ..... nothing. Emailed again, asking about shipping (past experience on 15 guns was immediate). After a few days finally got a message, the HW80SL will be shipped today. Waited for the FedEx email ... nothing. Two days later, I emailed again ... and got this reply, we don't have the HW80SL, but we do have the HW80SLK.
Have never heard of the HW80SLK?, but I knew it was a Lexus model so .... emailed back within 5 min to say "ship it today!"
Again, later today .... nothing .
I know I'm getting irritated, but Krale never used to give you this kind of run around. They did what they said - Period!
The person I'm talking to either doesn't know the right people to communicate with, doesn't know what he's doing or their process and website link between what is available is broken.
Sorry Krale, I loved you guys in the past ... but what's going on now?
Pics or it didn’t happen! Glad your new rifle made it to ya! Don’t like to hear it was boogered a little though…Got the gun today (HW80SLK).
Not double boxed like the old days with Krale and there were a few superficial scratches in varnish, which can likely fix.
IMO, the New Stock is way .... nicer than it's previous version - pistol grip still a fat however. Nice woodwork similar to the HW77K or HW97.
I prefer the shorter barrel as the overall gun weighs a little less and isn't barrel heavy. Cock is still very manageable.
Funny thing, never had a "new" Weihrauch come with a buggered, aluminum trigger screw?
Now for the tune ...............
LOL - it's in pieces already!Pics or it didn’t happen! Glad your new rifle made it to ya! Don’t like to hear it was boogered a little though…
I believe we were told in December of 2020 to “lower our expectations”. I’d say that was sound advice. The “brave new world” is somethin’ else!Ive said before i got to wonder how much turning a blind eye in QC or corner cutting is going on due to the " shortage" or any cost savings like no more double box , ect just so they can try to keep up on making orders .. ( any company today). You know the new normal..lol
Hmmmm... so 2 items = 2 boxed?..My blue 97K arrived last Wednesday double boxed. I had a couple of mounts shipped with it which could be the difference.
