Poor mans targets.

This one is my favorite. Just seems appropriate.

I have three stainless steel plates that were fixtures that I use as circle templates. I just lay them on a piece of scrap copy paper and trace circles. I like to use a pen or pencil rather than a Sharpie because it makes a finer line.
The holes sizes are 1/4”, 3/8” and 9/16”.

I shot another favorite target today. It is a home made know your limits target. I bought two Y shaped pieces from Target Forge and some 3/4 conduit and some 1/4 steel rod and some washers varying from 3/4 to 2 inches in diameter. I bent the 1/4 rod around a piece of 3/4 black iron pipe (slightly bigger than conduit) and then welded washers to it. PVC tubing spaces the hanging targets apart. I doubled or tripled the washers to get them to a reasonable thickness. I welded a 5/16 nut to the rod for the 1/2 inch target and left the 1/4 rod bare for the 1/4 target. Now I have swinging targets from 2 inches to 1/4 inches varying by 1/4 inches. The big ones are easy, the small one is not so easy. I have 2 inch thick concrete pavers behind the target to catch misses.

It cost a few dollars to make but there is no maintenance other than renewing the paint on the washers every once in awhile. I learned on a prototype that I have to tack the washers together or they separate after repeated impacts.

Lots of great options shared! Honestly if I ever get a printer, I'll probably go that route but for now it's copy paper and cans. In my original post, that cost me zero..... Except for the Grogu chip clips I stole from the kitchen drawer.. I didn't buy those but if I get caught, I suppose there will be a cost
Ask your neighbors or friends to save vitamin bottles and Med bottles - fill with sand or dirt and hang with strings - you can clean your lead before you discard the target. Milk cartons with sticky targets also are great 👍
