Mr Deeco there likes his $6.50 a tin Wally World pellets and isn't gonna buy the better stuff but even for that, still not one bit bad shooting at 30 yards with open sights and Crosman pellets.
With my eyes and open sights, if that target was mine, it would look like I shot it with a shotgun...lol.

Dont think walmart has them😉
Also, try AA 7.87's - best in my HW95/R9/HW50S besides Boxed CP 7.9's that were discontinued.

So i was out in big town and this store had daisy flat head .177 pellets for li ke 2 bucks ,250 count . I grabed some.

The top was culls like pellets hard fit loading , had to mash em in somewhat.

The bottom was the ones that loaded normal i guess to say.

Not bad just left poi from the cphp but a click or two fixed that..

I just feel these wads/flat head or pointed are better sutied for guns 600fps or less or most decent pistols at there range(10m/20y)

They did do very well in the hatsan 25 sc at 10m well worth $2 a tin for it

R9 ,30y, daisy flat head.177, ironsi guess if we hold my mouth just right and culled not bad (?).

I tried a 10m with the daisy wads, i shanked one,but no culling shot whatever i pulled out of the tin. Seems they like to hang leftward

Thanks for any compliments.. just plinking and posting something to look at for fun...

That's actually not a bad group at that distance. I'd also try these, as I've had great success with them in mid powered springers:

Scope it a and you will shoot ragged hole groups for sure.

Ya, every year it gets harder. I guess im kinda lucky i can see far , but like loading them flat head /wads im close to needing glasses.. more or less reading glasses distance. Im 60ish so ..... Also i stink at scope shooting ..
As a fellow 60+ I can feel your pain in the vision department. I really enjoy iron sights as well. I like scopes but do not care for the added bulk and weight. Also scopes add entirely different dimension to the gun. Fine for a few of my guns but I don’t want a scope on every one. With regards to irons sights however, I have gone to peep/diopter and don’t have to do the lineup between front and rear. I think you would find your groups tightening a bit (although those are very respectable groups). But more importantly is the ease and joy a peep sight brings.

yeah just wait 10 years , had to put bright light (daytime ) on target stand to see with peep's

Ya, i need a good williams peep to try.. maybe one day i will..

That scoping a springer got old fast ..lol when i stopped that chase my shooting enjoyment went up .. now scope money is mo-pellets money..lol
Yep, for sure. Especially the WW CPHP! That’s all I shoot. You can get the Williams peep on Amazon for $40. Target knob version for $75. I would add a stop screw to it also. Happy shooting!

Lol.. ya, saddly im too cheap and then its mailorder. I try to avoid mail orders unless no other choice or last ditch need it. Im extra good at getting that one in ten thousand lemon , aka the lemon king .

I’m in the same boat. My problem is the front sight in that I see two fuzzy sights lol
Well on the r9 the rear was the fuzz.

So i made that sunshade and that pretty much stopped the blurry. Pictures in that Michiganairgunner thread on his iron sight and sticks..

Now the others i dont have that issue . Except the gamo and that fiber optic front if the sun hits it just right its like staring at the sun..lol. Then i have to put tape cover over its globe / sight guard thing to block that .

To be honest that cheap hatsan 95 is pretty good all day and the click values are spot on . They say 1/10 mm at 10m. Well it is dead on . That hw/ r9 cant do that for its premium price ..lol. There sights kinda $u¢k to be honest for its price tag.

Im going to try 50 with them cheap pellets if i can get the wind to back off some. So far looks promising on setting it up shots.
