gun got a loud slap with erratic shots. . I've heard it before. any hoo. i pulled the barrel and bottle. removed the valve adjusting cap. checked for broken stem or loose valve stem cap. when I pulled the stem out and put it back, .little or no resistance. not much spring action. reassembled and when I screwed bottle on. air went straight rhru her.
last time the itsy bitsy o rings on the base of the valve stem were bad. I really think the valve seat may be bad also. I won't tear it down until I decide to fix it. which may be never.
I can strip bottle and liners for my Maverick. I think the gen 1 impact has had its day. trade wouldn't get me what bottle, barrel and liners are worth!!!
