Power---POWer---POWER

I wonder if we are becoming our own worst enemy? Opinion here! Are we following a dark path to our own distrution? We enjoy relative freedom with our passion. Purchsing about anything we want for airguns, guns themselves, parts, add ons, mkderators, ammo. We seem to be heading to regulation and registration as the power level we strive for is approaching firearm capabilities. Does this mean regulation in our future? Thoughts?

Possibly, and I would stay away from inviting discussion of it on a public forum. All it takes is one person who has a friend of a friend who works in in Alphabet org, or is in the state legislature, and instant problem. I enjoy less power myself, so losing every HP rifle out there would not limit my activities. But, if any restrictions are considered, they will likely apply to everything. And I agree, I think if is a very slippery slope, and one that I wish had not been found. Might be best if the moderator would make this one disappear.

Eventually, it will happen. I've been thinking that since I got my first PCP and realized just what these guns were capable of. And as most laws/policies that are created that are idiotic, inane, or make no sense, California will likely lead the way. Some dump truck CA legislator will find out what PCP's are capable of and behind the mantra of "Why does anybody need an airgun that powerful", they'll start regulating them.

If we start pushing for changes in the hunting laws, allowing one to hunt big game with an air rifle, somebody is going to put two and two together and start looking at "pellet guns" in a different light.

This all reminds me of the “more big is better” mentality in our country. We have cowboys in town with their loud duallies which never seem to tow anything. Or the rich folk who drive their large Suburbans or Range Rovers without any passengers on a daily basis. Costco/Sams/BJ’s is another example of excess.

I am fine with my RAW .30 shooting pellets as for now.. no need to get more from something which was originally designed to give you more.

As for regs, they will come once someone draws national attention. It’s a matter when, not if.

And this is why I am a member of and support pro 2A groups like GOA, and NRA ...etc

Trying to hide like sheep in the shadows, will not protect your God given right, which is then protected from the government by the Constitution and the 2A

Use the ballot box to make sure our representatives in OUR government are PRO 2A.

We the People are the sovereign in this nation and we need to remind those that think they are in power of that fact.

I do not think power, because Black Powder is allowed for hunting;I think it would be automatic and large capacity.

Problem =so many uneducated people that do not know the difference about any "gun"....they assume a gun is a gun....ok just answered that question, yes that could be a problem......because more power could put the air gun in the same box as a powder burner.....I think in the same box as Black powder would be alright

Looks as though we are in trouble, gun fearing people won. I guess we wait and see what happens.

Biden and his crew get their way we won’t have any guns, pellet guns I would imagine will be last to go.

I disagree. Airguns may be the first to go (at least the full-auto, semi-auto, high FPE, and high caliber ones). Powder burners get millions and millions of dollars worth of lobbying thrown at the legislators each year from numerous groups protecting 2A rights. Airguns don't have that bargaining power. Airguns have next to zero in terms of political advocacy. The big 2A advocates don't give a rat's ass about airguns, and would probably even use legislation on them as a concession when trying to further protect the powder burners.

Greed for power might so us in! It just take one very publicized accident to change/create the law that dooms us all so please be careful! My last 5 gun purchases all have been sub 12 FPE and 177. I highly appreciate my privilege to be able to shoot daily in my back yard in an urban environment, plus they are fraction of the price of fancy high powered guns.

The 2A does not say the right to a PB.

...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

If you are not a member of a 2A rights group, please join at least one. GOA would be my first choice. Again we the people are the sovereign of this nation. That is an extremely important part of our nations history and key to our freedoms.

ANY government that wants to disarm the citizens is an extremely dangerous government.

Just an FYI here.
