Power up a Steyr Pro X

My new Pro X Scout is only giving me ~26 ftlbs, should be 29.5. It’s .22 using 18gr 5.52 AA pellets which are a really snug fit in the mag. Only have about 20 rounds through it, assume it will it loosen up a bit but will it loosen up 3+ ftlbs? Got a Donnyfl Tanto moderator if that makes a dif.
Cannot find any info on tweaking the power although I am pretty sure it can be done.
Any help appreciated.
BTW it is a really fun rig to shoot.

These guns can really only go up to about 30 FPE. Their only adjustment is the hammer spring at the rear of the gun. This is just above the butt pad on the receiver. You can use a 3mm allen key to adjust the spring pressure. Don’t overdo it or you will start to get cycling issues. Make small changes then check your speeds with a Chrono.

Hi, how is the trigger?

Being used to an Anschutz match trigger it’s a bit stiff but I haven’t had a chance to go through it yet, hopefully can get it a bit better.
I’ve had mine for just under a year. I’m not sure that it has improved or if I have gotten accustomed to it. What I can say is that it’s not as good as the trigger on my FX Crowns. However it is at least as good as the triggers on my other semi-auto airguns (Leshiy 2 and Huben K1), and better than most. Importantly, it is consistent. The gun itself is very accurate, and I find it a treat to shoot offhand, which is usually one of my tests for whether or not I like the trigger.

Chris, gradually tightened the hammer spring, went from about 815 to 850 with 18gr AA Diabolo Field Heavies, that’s about 29ftlbs and the groups def tightened a bit. Little less than 1/2 turn. Cycles perfectly. I wanted to be at 850 and I’m there so the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and all is right with the world. Thanks, Rod

Hi, you should be able to adjust the hammer spring. I have the HUNTER 5 AUTO and you must remove tank and stock to get to it. You’ll go clockwise maybe half turn. Good luck!
