Tuning PP750 - broke the poppet, need the parts

Hello --

Is there a source for parts for a PP750, specifically the poppet stem assembly? Is there any one making these that are an improvement over the junk OEM poppet stem?

Was just about to finish a tin of pellets, plus some other tester pellets, so about 500 rounds before this poppet failed.

Thanks in advance.

Hello and thank you all.

Yes there was talk of this issue back in March/April in the forums in re these poppets, particularly with PP750s coming out of Europe. I think? Krale had been out of stock for quite a while, and when they became available last month I got one in 22 cal. I suppose the issue is still a live one.

My factory gun was giving just under 12 ft/lbs with JSB Jumbo 15.89s. I gave a single turn CCW on the regulator and 1 turn CW on the hammer spring and was getting about 16 ft/lbs, but was getting chronos that acted like was an unreg'd gun, diminishing fps. Backing the HS that single turn and was getting velocities around 675 consistently. When the chrono read 296 fps, yeah something was up. The next pellet was stuck in the breach, the poppet having failed. He he he...

Again, thanks folks!

Hmmm...the parts I need correspond to SPA M10 p/ns 14 and 13.

The 750 poppet comes apart like your photo shows. Look at the expanded parts diagram. What actually broke. I'm not sure I see a broken part.

The brass cone on the stem broke away from the brass sleeve section, and when fired drove the stem through the nylon part which is separated in two. Looking at the exploded view parts 69 and 70 are now four individual pieces.

...but somewhere I read that the regulator in these pistols has about 1 turn for the full range.

Is that one turn from factory, or is factory the center of a one turn range. Prolly assume factory is center of range. One shooter remarks backing the reg out until threads are showing, which by my gun is about 2-1/2 turns CCW. I got a 75 fps/4 ft/lb jump from making the one turn alone. Before the poppet broke, I shot out 4 mags (28) from 240 bar down to ~100 bar, with modest accuracy at 25 yds. Shot count is still decent with average 5 bar consumed per shot.

Edit: NOTE: BTW, if you have EVs of this pistol that list, for the most part, part numbers that begin "0PP750-...", that EV may be out-of-date. Attached is EV Snowpeak is currently referring to, and was received from them this morning.
